The heart of this course will be debate on controversial news subjects such as the Arab Spring, Nuclear power in Iran, drugs, corruption and violence in sport. You will also discuss lesser known current issues. Three schools in Britain which allow Moslem students to wear the veil were, for example, recently given official approval. Can you afford to remain neutral on such subjects, which also have a bearing on the situation here in France? This class will be a forum in which to express your views. Presentations will be given as a stimulus for debate between all participants, and every student will be encouraged to participate. The second aspect of this course will involve writing a news diary, a kind of personal editorial. Here you can each follow a subject of your choice during the course, write about it several times from your own point of view, learning from your own mistakes as you go along. In this way, you will receive individual correction beyond the language work we do together. Dernière mise à jour : lundi 9 janvier 2012 | ||||
