Requirements :
Admission to the Ecole Polytechnique 'ingénieur' program is based on highly competitive entrance examinations organized for students from various curriculae. All have in common outstanding abilities in mathematics and physics.

Track 1 entrance examinations, the traditional form of competition, are organized for students (either French citizen or with a foreign nationality) from post-secondary preparatory classes.
Track 2 entrance examinations have been created for students in the third year of a University curriculum (either French citizen or with a foreign nationality).
